A FUSION LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Building an Inclusive Climate Movement

UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

May 8-10, 2015

Hip Hop Caucus Founder Reverend Lennox Yearwood and 350.org Founder Bill McKibben (via Skype) at the UDC Conference, "Building an Inclusive Climate Movement"

The Justice Action Mobilization Network (JAMN) was born out of a historic gathering of over 100 environmental justice activists, civil rights advocates, educators, scientists, grassroots social justice organizers, faith ministers, entrepreneurs, legislators, and government officials.

We came together for three days to sow the seeds of a diverse climate and social justice network capable of challenging the politically powerful fossil fuel industrial complex; a cabal that is currently winning the battle on climate.

Our organizing committee recognized that to defeat the Koch brothers and their climate change denier politicians, we need to build a diverse and powerful, multi-issued fusion climate and social justice political network. Only then will we develop the critical mass needed to turn the political tide, for the sake of our planet, and for our children.
